This year PYP had been inactive for quite a while before its 6th birthday, so I didn't really go all out, but I did have a nice, quiet celebration. Here is a picture from the celebration: Picture

Number of site visits in one year: unknown Happy 3rd Birthday Purple Yoshi's Page!!! I'm amazed at how long I've had PYP going for! Time just seems to have flown by! Well, I think the site has come a long way this year. . .but there's still tons more to be done, so here's to many more years of Yoshi filled fun!

Evolution of PYP:

This site has had the same layout for a year now, and I may change it one day, but I'm actually pretty content the way it is. I've never worked so hard on a layout, and I have never been so proud of a completed layout, so I may leave this one the same for quite some time. Also, designing layouts isn't really my cup of tea. heh. Anyway, to start off the third year of Purple Yoshi's page, I made this new layout at www.1asphost.com. Shortly after, 1asphost changed it's bandwidth restrictions, much to my annoyance. Now people could only access my site at 3 AM or so, then it would be out of commission for the rest of the day. I knew something had to be done, but I was so busy with school, then exams, and so I didn't get around to moving pyp to a new host until the beginning of the summer. So because of that. . .a lot of site expansion was delayed. Anyway, I moved to. . .somewhere else. . .I forget where, and I had glitches almost immediately. I didn't want to tolerate it this time, so I just moved pyp to www.t35.com, and it's stayed there since. It's really a great host. . .I don't have any complaints about it. Oh, and I started using ftp to manage my files on pyp. It's a much more practical method. Anyway, there are now approximately 91 sections, and I will always try to maintain and add to them. This year I'll go for 100. . .and they will be sections of quality and care. I'm also hoping to fix some more of the sites glitches. . . there's so many problems after moving hosts multiple times that I haven't had a chance to iron out yet. Anyway, this has been an awesome year. Thanks fans of PYP and of Yoshi! Continue to submit your material, and everything is appreciated here! Thanks everyone for helping to make this site what it is today. Here's to many more!

PYP's 2nd Birthday!

Number of site visits in one year: unknown PYP turns two years old today! I'm amazed that it has lasted so long, and I'd just like to thank everyone who has helped it come so far, and especially the fans who have contributed stuff.

The Evolution of PYP:

When year 2 for this site began, it had a simple frames layout, and approximately 35 sections. Over the course of the year, I created 2 new layouts, the second better than it's predecessor. Also, the content on the site has expanded hugely, especially in the department of information on yoshi's games. Now there are approximately 71 sections, effort and thought put into each one. My main plan this year is to get the site known more throughout the mario community online. I will continue to pump out new and original sections, and I always encourage fan material. I love seeing what you guys think and or like, and as long as it's appropriate, I post all submitted material on the site.

PYP's 1st Birthday!

Number of site visits in one year: 9506 Today is pyp's one year anniversary!!! I'd like to thank everyone on my credits page plus all kinds of people that I have forgotten to include in there. It's absolutely amazing to look back and see how far it has come since it's beginnings one year ago. I can count the number of sites that have lasted this long on one hand! I'm very pleased, and have every intention to keep this site going for many years to come. The Evolution of PYP:

When I first started this site, it had a green background and one link on it with a text title. Soon after, I changed the background to yellow to make it different from Luigi Planet. The very first page on this site other than the index page was yoshi varieties. In the beginning I was adding at least one page basicly every day! By mid-march I began to slow down the rate at which purple yoshi's page was growing. Over many months, this site underwent around 5 layout changes. I made the two row navigation bar layout, and then the updates on the index page one. Finally, near the beginning of January, I added the html one with the scroll navigation bar, which is the one that is being used today. On the first day, as I have said before, there was only 1 link. A year later, it has exploded into an over 35 link-navigation bar!! Not to mention the fact that some of the links go into sub-menus with more pages available from there.
