Graphics: 8 out of 10
The graphics aren't ultimite, but they were the best in video games at the time.
Music/Sound: 8 out of 10
This games has a lot of great music used in races and battle modes. Some of this music was used again in newer games only slightly altered.
Frustration Level: 4.5 out of 10
This game is pretty straightforward and not too challenging, but the 150cc mode can be extremelly annoying!!
Difficulty Level: 4.5 out of 10
Just like the Frustration level, it's probably good that this game isn't very difficult. However, it can be extremely hard in 150cc and somehow, difficulty and frustration are closely linked.
Amount of Fun: 8.5 out of 10
This is a really fun, multi player racing game. Naturally, it's more fun with two people, but it's still fun as a one player game. This game can be played again and again and won't get tiring.
Replayability: 9 out of 10
This game is extremely entertaining and won't get boring. I'm sure it's the same with all racing games, but in my oppinion, the presence of Mario and his friends (or enemys) makes the game just a little more fun.
Overall: 8.5 out of 10
This is an excellent game. It's not quite a classic (ie. Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3), but it's just as great as any of them, and it's music adds to the effect. You'll never get bored playing this. I think it's one of the ultimite two player games!
