Graphics: 8 out of 10
The graphics in Super Mario Sunshine are pretty good, though they're not the best....I've seen much better on other GCN games. In fact, I think that Mario looks better in SSBM than he does in this game. (not including the FLUDD (Flash Liquidizing Ultra Dousing Device)). Some of the objects in the game have a somewhat distinct edge to them, making them look unrealistic, but the water looks FABULOUS. I'd say that the water is probably the best thing (graphically) in the game.
Music/Sound 10 out of 10
The music and sound effects in this game are BOTH amazing, and are quite cheerful and crystal-clear. The only sound effects that I sadly say I hate are Yoshi's ground pound and flutter jump cries. I'm a HUGE yoshi fan, maybe even bigger than Purple Yoshi herself, and it's agonizing to hear those improper cries..........it just doesn't sound natural.
Frustration Level: 8 out of 10
While there are some pretty frustrating parts in Super Mario Sunshine, the most frustrating thing of all are those YOSHI CRIES!!!!!!!! I can't stand them at all........also, the game developers didn't even include Green Yoshi in this game AT ALL!!!!! What kind of cheap-scam deal is that?!?!?! He is the universal yoshi colour.........AND THEY DON'T EVEN BOTH TO INCLUDE HIM!!!!!!!!!!
Difficulty Level: 8 out of 10
Super Mario Sunshine isn't the toughest game of all time, but I must admit that there are a lot of sticky spots.........particularily near the end of the game. Also, some of the mini game/challenges are tough as well.
Amount of fun: 10 out of 10
This game is a blast to play. It really is. While one of the main reasons I bought this game is because of the fact that yoshi graces this game with his divine presence, I quickly found out that it's also VERY fun to play in it's own right.
Replayability: 9 out of 10
This game lasts quite a long time in the main adventure itself, but the REAL challenge is collecting all 120 shines (sound like another game you guys know?) And since getting some of these is quite the challenge, I rest my case........
Overall: 9 out of 10
This game is a heck of an adventure. The controls are easy to learn, and if you guys have played Super Mario 64, they'll be even easier!!! And with yoshi making his divine self playable for the first time in 3D EVER, it's a definite must-buy for Mario and Yoshi fans alike.
