Tetris Attack
| Get Rid of the Pile! |
|
When you have a huge pile up of tiles, try to make large combos. You can get up to five in a row with a straight combo, so search for a grouping of many tiles of the same colour. Line them up, and this large combo will stop the clock, and hopefully give you enough time to find, and perform several other combos. Also, keep in mind that there are quite a few blocks, therefore in your scramble to get combos, you might give yourself some unintentional points.

| Two Player Vs. |
|
Yet again, I recommend combos. In the two player mode, when you successfully perform a combo move, then a block will drop down on the other players screen. Make sure to carefully watch your opponents screen. Try to time combos for when they have a very high pile of tiles, and most likely won't be able to recover. However, don't let your planning affect your own game.

For whatever reason, tiles must sometimes fall from a higher level down onto the tiles below them. Whether a block sent by your opponent has turned into tiles, or you have gotten three of the same tile in a row, and the tiles below it must fall, you can use this to your advantage. Say you have one green tile below another green tile (the top tile is on the top row). You see a green tile falling in the column next to you. Quickly move the two green tiles into the same column as the falling one BEFORE the falling one reaches the row of tiles. If you do this successfully, then the green tile will fall onto the other two, therefore making it a combo.
