Little Goomba first appeared in the original Super Mario Brothers for NES. He is among the classic Mario enemies. Goombas are small, brown creatures that do nothing but walk. If they encounter a cliff, they will walk off the edge of it. Goomba's more recent game appearances include Super Mario 64, and Super Smash Brothers Melee.

| Blooper |

Also one of the classic Super Mario Brothers NES enemies. Bloobers only appear in the underwater levels, and are strange, fast-moving squid creatures which chase after Mario the second he enters the water. You can see a bloober used in much laters games such as Super Mario Sunshine.

| Piranha Plant |
|
This classic Mario enemy originally popped it's head out of pipes, and spat fire balls at Mario. It is a long stemmed plant, with a large, round, spotted head. Piranha Plants can be found in much later games such as Super Mario Sunshine, or Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.

| Boo Buddy |
|
Boo Buddy is an old Mario game enemy who dwells within ghost houses. He is shy when being watched, but when you turn your back on him, it's a different story. The enemy Boo has sparked such characters as King Boo (Luigi's Mansion). Boo's have been appearing in nearly every Mario game released since their creation, and they don't seem to be showing any sign of slowing down.
