Yoshi's Safari

By Stanley the Bugman
The first and only Mario game using the SNES's Super Scope, Yoshi's Safari is a weird shooter. Nevertheless, it's still pretty good.

Gameplay: 8/10

Not half bad. I'm not much of a shooter gamer, but as far as Yoshi's Safari goes, hey, it's good! I've always wanted to shoot a Goomba down. :)

Graphics: 9.5/10

Pretty good! Nintendo tried hard to give it a 3D look. Not much 3D, but still, it has quite good graphics. I personally enjoyed the unique 2D/3D style graphics.

Sound: 7.5/10

Not too bad, but I like the Yoshi's Island soundtrack better. But still, while the music kinda lacks, the sound effects are pretty good.

Storyline: 7/10

Meh, not too bad. At least Peach didn't get captured for once. ;)

Controls: 9.5/10

The controls are good. All you have to do is point your super scope at the screen and shoot away. :)

Overall: 7.8/10

Overall, this is a good game. I would say it is the second best Yoshi game out there. (After Yoshi's Island of course.) A unique change of storyline, graphics, and gameplay, I would suggest this game to anyone who is bored. I would rent this game before I bought it though, since it may not be for everyone.
